House extension at Ballyferriter, Co. Kerry, Completed
The Extension was completed just in time to enjoy the sunny month of September…
the client is delighted, he can now enjoy the view surrounding the house from is sofa
in a warm and cosy place.
A stove with a back boiler was installed to heat space and hot water a back up gas boiler is installed also.
The insulation and windows are up graded to modern standard.

We participated to the Building Fabric Design CPD – Compliant and best practice Dwellings on the 27-28 February 2012 at Riai office Merrion Square, Dublin.
We learned more about :
– standard construction details to comply with the building regulation Part L 2011
– Limiting Thermal Bridging and air infiltration, Acceptable Construction details
– Calculate a y-value using ACDs
– Building solution retrofit
