This is a timber frame house extension and a full alteration to the house with external wall insulation.
a permanent a demand control ventilation system was installed for a permanent good air quality, no dampness on bathroom wall and ceiling,
no maintenance cost.
Air tigtness was improved with membrane and taping.
New high condensing gas boiler and solar thermal hot water system.
The house was D1 and is now A3

The building technique is insulated concrete form block, this is fast to build, great wall u values and airtighness.
The windows alu clad are triple glazed, the roof is made with prefab insulated panel.
The client is targeting the zero Co2 emission, with the future installation of solar pv panel and heat pump.

We have currently a passive house on site using passive house foundation system,
The great benefit of the system makes the foundation thermal bridge free and use less concrete than a traditional build.
It is composed with 3 no layer of 100 mm EPS insulation.
